[SMM Steel] India Domestic Steel Market Shows Mixed Price Movement
[India] India’s domestic steel market showed mixed price movements on Thursday with Mumbai rebar and Mandi billet prices rising, Raipur billet prices remaining stable and Durgapur billet prices edging lower. Demand remained moderate and buying was selective, keeping overall market sentiment stable with a slight positive bias. Mumbai Rebar prices up by 3.14USD/tonne to 500USD/tonne EXW Mumbai (47,800INR/tonne). Billet prices increased by 2.09USD/tonne to USD/tonne delivered Mandi (43,200INR/tonne). Raipur billet unchanged at 414USD/tonne EXW Raipur (39,600INR/tonne). Durgapur billet prices edged down by 1.05USD/tonne to 421USD/tonne delivered Durgapur (40,200INR/tonne).

[Rebar] Today, Tianjin port's rebar export offers remain stable, with the overall transaction price at $472-477/mt. According to feedback from exporters, due to the exchange rate treand today, some mills have increased their offers, but under the yuan appreciation environment, the market's willingness to accept high prices is relatively low, transactions of high-priced resources are not smooth, and overall transactions remain relatively small.
