[ SMM Rare Earth Afternoon Transaction Comment ] In the afternoon, the rare earth oxide market saw persistently low quoting activity, with some factories holding firm on prices, but metal plants' purchase willingness remained low, leaving trading in the rare earth oxide market continuously sluggish. In the afternoon, inquiry activity in the Pr-Nd alloy market remained low, with metal enterprises slightly lowering their quotations, but low-priced spot goods were scarce, and downstream inquiry and purchase willingness was not high, resulting in a stagnant actual trading performance. The GdFe market saw sluggish inquiry activity, with prices stable at 190,000-193,000 yuan/mt.

Meanwhile, supply chain restructuring moves were frequent: resources at Namibia's Kameelburg increased by another 35%, Japanese capital officially entered the Lofdal project; Malaysia considered conditionally liberalizing raw ore exports; US-based Energy Fuels advanced the final investment decision for the Donald project in Australia, and Lockheed Martin signed a long-term scandium supply agreement. A survey in Japan showed that 80% of manufacturing executives considered rare earth procurement a major risk, highlighting anxiety in the industry chain.
