Futures: The aluminum alloy 2610 contract opened at 23,460 yuan/mt today and closed at 23,560 yuan/mt, up 0.43% on the day. It shot up slightly in early trading before a brief pullback, then dipped to the intraday low of 23,430 yuan/mt in the afternoon and stabilized. Bulls continued to push in the afternoon, lifting prices steadily along the average price line, and it closed slightly higher. Trading volume reached 6,284 lots, with total open interest at 18,957 lots, up 468 lots from the previous trading day, signaling a modest inflow of funds. On the 4-hour chart, prices extended their uptrend along the moving averages, facing clear resistance near the previous high of 23,595 yuan/mt while finding solid support at 23,430 yuan/mt. The futures overall consolidated at elevated levels on a strong note.
Spot: ADC12 market quotes were largely stable today, with a general lack of willingness to adjust prices. Futures have strengthened recently, sparking a rebound in inquiry activity from futures and spot traders. However, constrained by weak end-use demand, spot trading volume was limited, and there was no substantial support for prices to follow the rise. Meanwhile, the cost side continued to provide a floor, leaving prices under pressure from both directions and the market in a wait-and-see mode. Short-term ADC12 prices are expected to keep consolidating with stability.
Import side, overseas ADC12 offers edged up to $3,070–3,190/mt, and the immediate import loss widened to around 905 yuan/mt.
