SMM August 7 News:
The spot supply of domestic secondary crude lead was tight, and smelters offered limited quotations to the market. Smelters in North China were constrained by scrap battery raw materials, and there were no spot orders released. They mainly carried out deliveries of long-term contracts. Downstream alloy enterprises showed mediocre purchase sentiment. On Friday, the mainstream tax-included delivered transactions of secondary crude lead hovered around 14,400 yuan/mt.
Imported crude lead still had previous orders arriving in succession, while new order transactions were sluggish. If lead prices maintain sideways movement next week, the supply of secondary crude lead is unlikely to see significant improvement, and the purchase willingness of downstream refined lead and alloy plants will remain weak, while suppliers will mainly follow the market trend.
