Lightsource bp and Meta have signed a long-term PPA for the 172MW DC/150MW AC Mowata Solar project in Acadia Parish, Louisiana. Construction is scheduled to begin later this year, with the project expected to create 250-350 construction jobs and add new renewable generation to the local grid. Lightsource bp said it will invest USD 237 million in the project. The agreement expands the companies’ partnership following Meta’s 2022 PPA for the 134MW DC Arche Solar project in Ohio.

[Large-Format 210 PV Module Price Slightly Reduced]
Today, distributed 210 prices were pulled back from high levels, as Q3 distributed demand began to decline and large-format module demand pulled back somewhat. With orders decreasing, the 720W module in the market started to see localized price concessions in shipments. In addition, technological efficiency improvements also contributed to the decline in module prices. Mainstream 210 power slowly rose to 725-735W, and enterprises with existing 715-720W inventory began to moderately lower prices to sell, leading to a price drop.

US construction technology startup Gritt has raised USD 32.4 million in pre-seed and Series A funding to develop AI-powered robotic systems for infrastructure construction. The company said its “physical AI” systems can retrofit existing heavy equipment such as skid steers and forklifts with autonomous capabilities, starting with labor-intensive tasks in utility-scale solar projects before expanding to broader infrastructure sectors. Gritt said its first commercial systems are already being deployed on active job sites.
