The French government has selected three electrolytic hydrogen production projects and will allocate subsidies totalling €778 million (approximately US$887 million) to them. The winning projects will receive subsidies calculated on a per-kilogram-of-hydrogen basis over the next 15 years. This scheme forms part of the French government's drive to achieve its national target of 1 gigawatt (GW) of installed electrolyser capacity.
