[NBS: 2026 H1 GDP Up 4.7% YoY]

The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) released data showing that, according to preliminary estimates, China’s GDP in H1 reached 69,570.4 billion yuan, up 4.7% YoY at constant prices. By quarter, GDP in Q1 grew 5.0% YoY, and Q2 grew 4.3%. On a QoQ basis, GDP in Q2 increased by 0.9%.

Alang prices are expected to remain range-bound.

[SMM Steel] Vietnam HRC Import Offers Stable as Buyers Remain Cautious

[Vietnam] Indian and Indonesian HRC offers remained at USD 515-520/tonne CFR Vietnam, while SAE1006 material was offered at around USD 517.5/tonne CFR. Weak downstream demand kept most buyers on the sidelines and trading limited. Vietnamese slab export offers were stable at USD 480-490/tonne FOB.
