China's NEV Market Thrives: June Sales Up 28.6% YoY, Boosting Demand for Battery Foil and Aluminum

Data released by CAAM shows that China's NEV market maintained strong production and sales momentum. Specifically, monthly sales reached 953,000 units in a given period (corresponding to June 2026), up 28.6% YoY and up 6.2% MoM; cumulative H1 (January-June) sales surged to 4.857 million units, up 32.1% YoY. The booming NEV market drove sustained growth in demand for battery foil and lightweight automotive aluminum plate/sheet and strip.
