On August 10, Cui Dongshu, official of CPCA, stated in an article that 12 new‑vehicle models categorized by powertrain were launched in July, 5 more than the 7 models in July last year. A total of 77 new models were rolled out from January to July. Among them, 25 extended‑range EV models were released during January‑July, 15 more year‑on‑year; 6 hybrid models, up by 6 year‑on‑year; 18 narrow‑definition PHEV models, down by 7 year‑on‑year; 39 BEV models, down by 3 year‑on‑year; and 6 conventional fuel‑powered vehicle models, down by 3 year‑on‑year.
