Recently, the Chongqing Hydrogen Industry Ecological Alliance was officially established. As one of the first 45 member units, Guohong Hydrogen Energy deeply participated in this important initiative to implement the national "dual carbon" strategy and serve the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle. It will continue to deepen its presence in Chongqing, contributing to the rise of a new hub for hydrogen energy in western China.
Building an Ecosystem Together for Collaborative Win-Win
The Chongqing Hydrogen Industry Ecological Alliance brings together 45 member units, including central state-owned enterprises, state-owned enterprises, universities, and other entities, establishing a complete hydrogen energy industry ecosystem covering "production, storage, transportation, refueling, and application," equipment manufacturing, and support services. This forms a collaborative development community integrating government, industry, academia, research, finance, and application. During the conference, Chongqing's state-owned assets and enterprises collectively launched 37 hydrogen energy application projects, with planned investments of 8.34 billion yuan, covering the entire industry chain and clarifying cooperation pathways.
As a key member of the alliance, Guohong Hydrogen Energy will actively align with the project list, partnering with Chongqing Expressway Group and Qingling Motors, among others, to deepen collaboration in areas such as heavy-duty truck logistics and municipal vehicles. It will advance core technology breakthroughs and the construction of cross-regional hydrogen corridors, injecting green momentum into the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle.
Deepening Presence in Chongqing with Solid Steps
Guohong Hydrogen Energy's physical layout in Chongqing is steadily advancing. In 2021, the company, together with several top-tier enterprises, signed an agreement with the Jiulongpo District Government to jointly build a globally leading hydrogen energy technology industrial park and the China Western (Chongqing) Hydrogen Valley. Simultaneously, it collaborated with Chongqing University of Technology to establish an R&D center and worked with Bosch and Qingling to create an "R&D-Manufacturing-Demonstration" industry ecosystem.
Application scenarios are accelerating. Guohong Hydrogen Energy's fuel cell heavy-duty trucks are operating on a large scale at hubs like Guoyuan Port, supporting green logistics for the New Western Land-Sea Corridor. The first regular "water-rail-road" hydrogen multimodal transport trunk line is in operation, with refrigerated trucks already serving local catering brands, extending hydrogen energy applications from trunk transport to urban livelihood scenarios.
Starting from Chongqing, Advancing Nationwide
Currently, leveraging the convergence advantages of three national strategies, Chongqing is accelerating the development of an implementation pathway for the hydrogen energy industry, aiming to establish a national strategic pivot for hydrogen energy industry innovation within 3 to 5 years. Guohong Hydrogen Energy will use Chongqing as a strategic pivot, deeply integrating into the collaborative system, accelerating the large-scale application of hydrogen energy in scenarios such as heavy-duty trucks and municipal vehicles, and contributing to the creation of the "Chengdu-Chongqing Model."
