According to Tempo, On January 15, 2026, PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO) officially resumed all mining and construction activities across Sorowako, Pomalaa, and Bahodopi following the approval of its 2026 Work Plan and Budget (RKAB) by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM). CEO Bernardus Irmanto confirmed that the company has transitioned back to normal operations after a brief temporary suspension earlier this month, emphasizing that the new annual approval scheme provides critical regulatory certainty for the company’s long-term investments in the global nickel supply chain.
