The meeting thoroughly conveyed and studied the spirit of the October 9 session of the municipal party committee’s leading group for the construction of the "Two Rare Earth Bases," and arranged and deployed key tasks for the next phase. The meeting emphasized that all regions must thoroughly implement the important directives of the municipal party committee, scientifically research and determine the development goals for the rare earth industry during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, continuously expand the application fields of rare earths, promote investment attraction, project planning, reserve, and construction in a list-based manner, and accelerate the gathering and cultivation of more influential high-quality enterprises. Baotou Steel Group and China Northern Rare Earth should give full play to the leading role of leading enterprises, optimize industrial layout and project spatial layout, and jointly advance the construction of Baotou’s "Two Rare Earth Bases" to a new level.
