Beijing (Gasgoo)- On Sept. 10, IM Motors, the premium new energy vehicle brand co-backed by SAIC Motor, Zhangjiang High-tech, and Alibaba Group, officially released the new-generation LS6 large five-seat smart SUV onto the market. The model is available in five battery-electric variants and four range-extended electric variants, with prices ranging from 197,900 yuan to 269,900 yuan.

The new LS6 comes with more than 100 advanced features as standard across all trims, including the Lingxi Digital Chassis, NVIDIA Orin-X and Qualcomm 8295P chips, an 800V high-voltage platform, and the new-generation "Hurricane" electric motor. IM Motors emphasized that even the base model retains all core technologies, aiming to establish a strong value proposition within its segment.

The Hengxing ("Stellar") Super Range Extender system combines the benefits of extended range and ultra-fast charging, offering a battery-powered range of 450 km, a combined range of 1,500 km, and 800V ultra-fast charging capability. Comprehensive fuel consumption is as low as 0.06 L/100 km

The Lingxi Digital Chassis provides multiple stability and safety features, said IM Motors. Lingxi Tire Burst Stability Control maintains composure during sudden blowouts at high speed or on curves. Active Anti-Rollover 2.0 reduces rollover risk by 45%, while Lingxi Super RWD enhances traction on slippery surfaces, covering 80% of typical AWD off-road scenarios. A 4-wheel steering system with 18° rear-wheel steering enables a minimum turning radius of 4.49 meters.

On the intelligent side, the new LS6 features IM AIOS onboard operating system and debuts the AI Agent in-vehicle assistant, connected with the WeChat ecosystem to support services such as parking payments and food ordering. IM AD 3.0, the smart driving system powered by Momenta, brings HD map-free urban NOA (Navigation on Autopilot) feature. The new model also offers NVIDIA DRIVE Thor chips and a 520-line LiDAR as add-ons.
