South Korea Passes Revised Autonomous Vehicle Act

On Feb. 19, South Korea’s National Assembly approved amendments to the Act on Promotion and Support for Commercialization of Autonomous Vehicles during a plenary session.
The key revision allows automakers and other entities operating vehicles under temporary driving permits to utilize video data collected for performance and safety improvements in research and development (R&D) without requiring anonymization or pseudonymization.
