SMM Survey of Copper Concentrate Shipments from Las Bambas Mine

SHANGHAI, Apr 4 (SMM) - Operations at Las Bambas mine returned to full production. This came after concentrate transportation at the mine resumed on March 11, 2023 (Peru time), which will help Las Bambas mine gradually reduce copper concentrate inventories.

According to SMM survey, the daily shipments of copper concentrate from Las Bambas currently stand at 4,000 mt in physical content by truck to Matarani Port. Although the land transport logistics is efficient, it still faces port congestion and scarcity of ships. At present, copper concentrate have to be piled on the dock awaiting delivery.
