China's Aluminum Exports Hit New High in April 2026, Up 15.4% YoY

According to General Administration of Customs data, China's unwrought aluminum and aluminum semis exports showed significant growth. Specifically, in April 2026, exports reached 598,000 mt, up 15.4% YoY from 518,000 mt in the same period last year, and up 23.3% MoM from 485,000 mt in the previous month, a substantial increase of 113,000 mt. This monthly export volume set a new monthly high since December 2024 (when exports were 506,000 mt). In addition, cumulative exports of unwrought aluminum and aluminum semis in the first four months of this year reached 2.054 million mt, up 9.1% from 1.883 million mt in the same period last year.
