Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On September 12, BYD, in partnership with Al-Futtaim, celebrated the grand opening of its flagship store on Dubai's prestigious Sheikh Zayed Road. This new location marks another significant milestone for BYD in the region, following the success of its Festival City showroom.

The Sheikh Zayed Road flagship store spans over 1,100 square meters and is fully equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including more than 50 exclusive parking spaces for customer test drives and parking. Inside, the store features dedicated zones for showcasing new energy vehicles (NEVs), a technology experience area, a customer lounge, and professional sales consultation spaces. The layout is designed to blend technology, comfort, and convenience.

Hasan Nergiz, General Manager of Al-Futtaim Electric Mobility Company, commented on BYD’s success in the UAE market since its launch last year: “BYD has received a positive response in the UAE. With this flagship store located in a prime spot on Sheikh Zayed Road, we are poised to achieve even greater milestones. In the future, we will continue to expand customer touchpoints, offering more convenient showrooms, premium services, and innovative solutions to provide customers with exceptional experiences in new energy vehicles.”

At the grand opening, visitors were treated to an exclusive preview of the highly anticipated YANGWANG U8, marking the model's official debut in the UAE. The U8 is expected to go on sale in the country in 2025.

BYD currently offers five NEV models in the UAE, including three pure electric vehicles—the Yuan PLUS, Seal, and Han—and two plug-in hybrid electric vehicles— the Qin PLUS DM-i and Song PLUS DM-i. The diverse lineup provides UAE customers with a wide range of new energy vehicle options. Additionally, BYD plans to open new outlets by the end of the year in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Ras Al Khaimah, further expanding its local sales network and offering customers more convenient and efficient purchase, driving, and after-sales experiences.
