SHANGHAI, Jun 17 (SMM) – The company announced that its subsidiary Chongqing Wuling Manganese Industry, has received a notice on “stopping the usage of slag yard" from Xiushan Ecological Environment Bureau and an "Emergency Notice on the Disposal of Backward Production Technology and Equipment of Electrolytic Manganese Metal" from Xiushan Economic and Information Commission.
After receiving the relevant notices, Chongqing Manganese Industry immediately implemented the disposal and technical transformation plan of the relevant slag yard out of service and outdated production technology and equipment. Chongqing Wuling Manganese Industry has suspended production as required by the notice. In view of the uncertainties in the formulation of relevant rectification plans, approval, rectification time, and rectification acceptance cycle, the company cannot yet predict the time for the resumption of production.
Chongqing Manganese Industry boasts, with a registered capital of 100 million yuan, is mainly engaged in the production and processing business of EMM. The factory is located in Xiushan Tujia and Miao Autonomous County of Chongqing City, with EMM production capacity at 32,000 mt per year. In 2020, the actual production of EMM recorded 21,800 mt.
