Công ty kỹ thuật Indonesia PT Wijaya Karya Tbk (WIKA) cho biết phần lớn công việc xây dựng chính tại các cơ sở bốc xếp than lên tàu số 6 và số 7 mà công ty đang xây dựng cho PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) đã hoàn thành. Dự án đã bước vào giai đoạn hoàn thiện, chạy thử và kiểm tra hiệu suất, với mục tiêu hoàn thành toàn bộ vào quý III năm 2026.

Dự án bao gồm các tuyến băng tải T4 và T5, phễu rót than số 6 và số 7, hệ thống bốc xếp lên tàu, vòng xoay đường sắt, hệ thống tín hiệu và các cơ sở phụ trợ khác. Khi đi vào hoạt động đầy đủ, dự kiến sẽ bổ sung công suất xử lý than 20 triệu tấn mỗi năm, nâng tổng công suất của các cơ sở số 1–7 lên khoảng 60 triệu tấn mỗi năm.
