[SMM Steel Monthly Shipping] China's 32-Port Departures in April Edged Up 16.75% MoM

According to the latest SMM steel shipping data, total steel exports from 32 domestic ports in April reached 11.8668 million mt, up 16.75% MoM. Among main ports, Shanghai Port recorded steel port departures of 660,400 mt in April, a MoM increase of 23.67%; Tianjin Xingang recorded steel port departures of 3.0514 million mt in April, a MoM increase of 54.07%; Caofeidian Port recorded steel port departures of 505,300 mt in April, a MoM increase of 144.34%; Jingtang Port recorded steel port departures of 726,900 mt in April, a MoM increase of 24.85%. Port departures from Zhangjiagang, Fangchenggang, Bayuquan, Luojing Port, and Zhanjiang Port all declined to varying degrees MoM.

For all specifications, the base price of high-speed steel grades containing 1% molybdenum (Mo) would be raised by 500 yuan per mt. This price adjustment aims to stabilize raw material supply.
