EnerSys Moves Next-gen Lead-acid Battery Production to TPPL in Missouri

EnerSys is closing its Tijuana, Mexico facility and shifting production to its Springfield, Missouri plant, focusing on Thin Plate Pure Lead (TPPL) batteries designed for modern data centers. The $37 million restructuring also serves as a technology advancements and tariff-hedging strategy.
