$60M Funding Secured to Boost Nyinahin Bauxite Mining in Ghana

$60M Medium-Term Facility Agreement Secured to Accelerate Nyinahin Bauxite Mining Operations

The Ghana Integrated Aluminium Development Corporation (GIADEC), along with partners Metalloïd Resources Investment, LLC-S.P.C and Ghana Integrated Bauxite Development Limited Company (GIBDLC), has secured a USD 60 million medium-term facility agreement to advance the Nyinahin bauxite project in Ghana's Ashanti Region.

Announced in Abu Dhabi on January 14, the funding will directly support mining activities on hills one to three of the Nyinahin concession, with production to be scaled up in phases. This marks a shift from earlier policy-focused initiatives to concrete implementation, aiming to transform Ghana’s estimated 920 million tonnes of bauxite reserves into industrial output.
