Shanxi Province Unveils 2025 Action Plan for Leapfrog Development of Aluminum & Magnesium Key Industry Chains

Recently, the Key Industry Chain Leader System Mechanism of the Shanxi Province Manufacturing Revitalization and Upgrading Leading Group issued the "2025 Action Plan for the Leapfrog Development of Key Industry Chains in Shanxi Province," which outlines the development priorities for the aluminum and magnesium deep processing industry:

The Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, as the lead unit of the chain leader, will promote the revitalization of idle aluminum production capacity, advance the comprehensive utilization of resources in magnesium smelting projects in accordance with regulations, vigorously develop recycled metals, and gradually form a coordinated development pattern of "primary + recycled" metals.

The continuous promotion of the integrated development of upstream and downstream industries in the aluminum and magnesium sectors will be carried out through multiple measures to facilitate the implementation of deep processing projects for aluminum and magnesium. The collaboration rate of liquid aluminum will reach over 80%.
