The Henan-Shanghai price spread was -140 yuan/mt, up 10 yuan/mt. SMM central China closed at 20,370 yuan/mt, down 20 yuan/mt. On February 13, SMM A00 aluminum (Foshan) closed at 20,530 yuan/mt, down 20 yuan/mt, with a discount of 10 yuan/mt against the current month and 20 yuan/mt against the next month. (Unit: yuan/mt)
According to SMM statistics, the aluminum billet inventory in major domestic consumption areas stood at 300,400 mt, an increase of 5,900 mt compared to Monday. Around the Lantern Festival, downstream resumed production in an orderly manner after the holiday, and the inventory buildup, especially in east China, has shown signs of slowing down. However, aluminum prices continued to retreat from high levels today. Although transactions slightly improved, there were more sellers in the market, and sentiment was weak, making it difficult to stand firm on quotes. Today, the Foshan aluminum billet market quoted 150-200 yuan/mt, flat; the Wuxi market processing fee was quoted at 180-230 yuan/mt, up 30 yuan/mt; the Nanchang region processing fee was quoted at 170-220 yuan/mt, up 20 yuan/mt.
