[Indian PV Company Waaree Energies: 5.4GW Solar Cell Factory Begins Trial Production] Indian PV company Waaree Energies Limited announced that its 5.4GW solar cell manufacturing facility in Gujarat commenced trial production on January 6, 2025. Indian PV enterprise Waaree Energies Limited announced that its 5.4GW solar cell manufacturing facility in Gujarat commenced trial production on January 6, 2025.

Waaree Energies stated that it is currently the largest PV module manufacturer in India. As of June 30, 2024, the company's PV module capacity reached 13.3GW, distributed across five manufacturing facilities located in Chikhli, Surat, Tumb, and Nandigram, all in Gujarat.

It is reported that Waaree Energies announced its entry into the battery manufacturing sector in October 2022 and is expected to build a 5.4GW battery capacity. Additionally, the company plans to establish a 2GW PV module factory in the US and expand it to 5GW.
