The PMI for the electroplating industry in June was 49.64%. Compared to May, it showed little fluctuation but an upward MoM trend. June is a traditional off-season for the electroplating industry, with orders weakening. The new order index was 49.51%. However, as the decline in nickel prices in June led to a decrease in raw material procurement costs, the restocking enthusiasm among electroplating manufacturers increased. Therefore, the raw material inventory index was 49.84%. In July, the industry is expected to remain in the off-season. After concentrated restocking by electroplating manufacturers, market activity may weaken. The preliminary PMI for July is expected to be 49.26%.
