The price of polysilicon temporarily stabilized

Last week, the mainstream transaction prices for P-type dense polysilicon were 34-37 yuan/kg, and the transaction prices for N-type polysilicon were 38-41 yuan/kg. Polysilicon prices temporarily stabilised last week. As downstream silicon wafer producers continued to pick up goods, the polysilicon inventory began to move closer to 200,000 mt. Notably, Tongwei, which previously accounted for nearly 20% of the total inventory, saw a significant reduction in inventory. In addition, with cost support, polysilicon prices stabilised. However, it is worth noting that the scheduled production of polysilicon for June and July still exceeds downstream demand. SMM believes that polysilicon prices will not increase in the short to medium term.
