Shanghai Zinc Market: Traders Increase Purchases, Premiums Firm

Today, the mainstream transaction prices for 0# zinc were concentrated at 24,660-25,110 yuan/mt, Shuangyan traded at 24,810-25,260 yuan/mt, and 1# zinc traded at 24,590-25,040 yuan/mt. In the early session, premiums against the current month invoice were 10-15 yuan/mt, and against the next month invoice were 5 yuan/mt. In the second trading session, ordinary domestic brands quoted against the 2406 contract with a discount of 80-90 yuan/mt, while high-priced brand Shuangyan with a premium of 60-70 yuan/mt. Zinc prices continued to rise, and as delivery approached, some traders increased their purchases, with premiums slightly firm. Downstream enterprises mainly procured on a just-needed basis, and overall transactions among traders were moderate.
