[SMM analysis] Some refined tin smelters in Yunnan suspended production for maintenance, while production in Jiangxi remained stable

According to SMM, the combined operating rate of refined tin smelters in Yunnan and Jiangxi last week decreased to 63.77%. The operating rate of smelters in Yunnan largely dropped to 62.54%. Last week, environmental inspections were conducted in Gejiu, Yunnan, causing some refined tin smelters to suspend production for maintenance, thus the operating rate of local refined tin smelters declined. The operating rate of smelters in Jiangxi was 65.86%, remaining flat WoW. Most smelters in Jiangxi maintained normal production levels, with no maintenance plans in the near future. Some smelters increased scheduled production amid stable scrap supply. Additionally, the environmental inspections in Yunnan have not yet been concluded, slightly affecting refined tin output in Yunnan this month.
