China imported 249,400 mt of primary aluminium in March 2024, up 246% YoY [SMM data]

According to customs data, China's imports of primary aluminum in March 2024 rose by 11.2% MoM to 249,400 mt, up 246% YoY, of which 46.5% came from Russia and about 10% came from India. In the first quarter of 2024, China imported a total of 721,000 mt of primary aluminium, up 225% YoY.
