According to the cost-profit sheet of SMM, the profit of imported ore has rebounded significantly. The total global iron ore shipments of SMM reached 33.93 million tons, an increase of 0.3% compared to the previous period. Among them, shipments from Australia amounted to 18.88 million tons, a decrease of 5.8% compared to the previous period. Shipments from Australia to China were 15.21 million tons, accounting for 80.5% of the total shipments from Australia, a decrease of 6.5% compared to the previous period. Shipments from Brazil were 8.16 million tons, an increase of 33.4% compared to the previous period. Shipments from Brazil to China were 3.33 million tons, accounting for 40.8% of the total shipments from Brazil, an increase of 9.2% compared to the previous period. Although the amount shipped to China decreased slightly, it is still at a relatively high level. However, the market currently considers that the iron ore is still showing an upward trend, with the recent Australian hurricanes potentially causing some impact on shipments. In the short term, the ore price may continue to show a strong and fluctuating trend, and it is expected that there is still room for profit from imported ore to rise.
