Tianjin Zinc: Poor market shipments and premiums drop again

In Tianjin, #0 zinc ingot was mostly traded at 20630~20740 yuan/mt, Zijin zinc 20650~20760 yuan/mt, and Huludao zinc 24090 yuan/mt. In terms of premium/discount, #0 zinc was quoted with discounts of 30~60 yuan/mt over SHFE 2404 contract, and Zijin zinc with discounts of 10~40 yuan/mt. Prices in Tianjin were 40 yuan/mt lower than Shanghai prices. As of noon, spot discounts of ordinary brand Chihong stood at 40~50 yuan/mt over SHFE April zinc contract, Hongye 30 yuan/mt. Discounts were 30~40 yuan/mt for Xinzi zinc, with not quotes for Bailing and discounts of 90 yuan/mt for Kazakhstan zinc. High-priced brand Zijin was offered with premiums of 10~40 yuan/mt. Zinc prices rose slightly today. Due to poor downstream consumption, companies just purchased as needed. There is basically no price difference between high- and low-price brands, and the overall transaction volume was relatively light. #1 zinc ingot prices fluctuated between 20570~20660 yuan/mt today.
