On December 27th, the main contract LC2401 for lithium carbonate futures rose by 0.20%. According to data, the main contract opened at 103,850 RMB/ton and closed at 101,600 RMB/ton, with a trading volume of 7,179 contracts and an open interest of 14,190 contracts, a decrease of 2,925 contracts compared to the previous trading day. SMM's spot prices for battery-grade lithium carbonate on the same day were 93,000-101,000 RMB/ton, with an average price of 97,000 RMB/ton, a decrease of 1,500 RMB/ton compared to the previous working day.

At the opening of the main contract LC2401 on the same day, the price quickly rose to the day's high of 104,750 RMB/ton, then fluctuated downwards to a sudden significant drop to the day's low of 98,900 RMB/ton before stabilizing and rising steadily after the midday opening, eventually increasing by 0.2%.
