Shanghai to Implement Measures to Encourage Purchase and Use of New Energy Vehicles from January 1, 2024
In order to effectively promote the control of air pollution and energy conservation and emission reduction in the city, and to accelerate the development of the new energy vehicle industry, the General Office of the Municipal Government recently forwarded the 'Implementation Measures for Encouraging the Purchase and Use of New Energy Vehicles in Shanghai' formulated by the Shanghai Development and Reform Commission and five other departments. The 'Implementation Measures' will be implemented from January 1, 2024, and will be valid until December 31, 2024. The 'Implementation Measures' explicitly continue to provide policy support for consumers to purchase and use new energy vehicles.
