The average operating rate of die-casting zinc alloy manufacturers was 50.50% last week, up 0.38 percentage point. Raw material inventory increased slightly as some manufacturers purchased in the first half of the week when zinc prices dipped.
In terms of orders, there was still no significant change in consumption by regular end-user plants such as hardware and sanitary ware plants. Consumption in the auto parts sector improved slightly. However, this only boosted operating rates of some small and medium-sized alloy plants. Finished product inventory increased slightly due to higher operating rates and sluggish orders. this week, some manufacturers plan to reduce or halt production and work through inventories, thus the operating rates are expected to decline slightly.
