Shanghai Zinc Market: The spot trading was weak

Mainstream traded prices of #0 zinc were 21630~21720 yuan/mt today, with 21700~21790 yuan/mt for Shuangyan zinc, and 21560~21650 yuan/mt for #1 zinc. The discounts were around 20 yuan/mt over the average SMM price in the morning, with premiums of 380 yuan/mt over the SHFE 2311 zinc contract.

During the second trading session, regular domestic brands were quoted with premiums of 320 ~ 380 yuan/mt over the SHFE 2311 zinc contract. Shuangyan zinc was quoted with premiums of 390~400 yuan/mt over the October contract. Prices fell last night, the performance of downstream companies was not as good as expected, and purchasing sentiment was weak. Spot trading was poor.
