According to SMM statistics, the domestic electrolytic aluminum output in September (30 days) of 2023 was 3.523 million tons, an increase of 5.5% year-on-year. The daily output of domestic electrolytic aluminum increased by 554 tons to around 117,400 tons in September. The cumulative output of domestic electrolytic aluminum from January to September was 30.822 million tons, an increase of 3.13% year-on-year.

Production forecast: Entering October, the domestic supply side is expected to be stable, the centralized restart of domestic electrolytic aluminum has basically been completed, and there is no expectation of a large restart in the year or in the near future. At present, the domestic idle capacity to be restarted is mainly distributed in Liaoning, Yunnan, Guizhou, Sichuan, etc., totaling about 1.29 million tons, but most of them do not have the conditions for quick restart, and other capacities are idle in construction or indicator aspects.
