Spot Trading In Shanghai Zinc Market Picked Up

Mainstream traded prices of #0 zinc were 21910-22130 yuan/mt today, with 21990-22200 yuan/mt for Shuangyan zinc, and 21840-22060 yuan/mt for #1 zinc. In the morning trading, spot discounts were 20-30 yuan/mt over the average SMM zinc price and shrank to 220~250 yuan/mt over the SHFE 2310 zinc contract. Trading was quiet.

During the second trading session, regular domestic brands were quoted with premiums of 220~230 yuan/mt over the SHFE 2310 zinc contract. Shuangyan zinc was quoted with premiums of 300 yuan/mt over the contract. The zinc price has been lowered today, and some traders purchased cargoes, resulting in a firm overall premium. After the zinc price fell, downstream companies increased their purchases, improving the overall transactions.
