BDI Index Rises To Two-Week High

The Baltic Dry Index rose to a two-week high on Thursday as the Baltic Capesize Index rose. The Baltic Dry Index rose 60 points, or 5.6%, to 1,141, its highest level since Aug 23. The Baltic Capesize Index rose 155 points, or 15%, to 1,189. Capesize daily profits rose $1,290 to $9,863. The Baltic Panamax Index rose 7 points to 1,473. Panamax daily profits increased by $63 to $13,255. The Supramax Index rose 20 points, or 1.9%, to 1,056.
