Lithium Carbonate Price Still In Downturn

SHANGHAI, Sep 7 (SMM) – The SMM battery-grade lithium carbonate index was 199,179 yuan/mt on September 7, a decrease of 1,784 yuan/mt from the previous working day. Battery-grade lithium carbonate price range was 192,000-206,000 yuan/mt, a decrease of 1,500 yuan/mt from the previous working day; industrial-grade lithium carbonate price range was 185,000-193,000 yuan/mt, a decrease of 2,000 yuan/mt. Recently, the battery-grade lithium price continued to rise, resulting in strong caution among downstream buyers. Demand didn't see a significant improvement. As such, the short-term lithium carbonate market will continue to be weak.
