SHANGHAI, August 2 (SMM) –
The Party Committee of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council held an enlarged meeting on August 1. The meeting emphasized that it is necessary to keep up with changes in the macroeconomic situation and strengthen monitoring and analysis to guide central enterprises to actively expand their market to increase revenue, control costs, and dispose of low-efficiency and invalid assets. Through these efforts, central enterprises can build up the formation of high-end and differentiated competitive advantages, strive to be industry leaders, and enhance market confidence. The government should take a long-term view, by continuing to deepen the reform of state-owned enterprises, increase scientific and technological innovation efforts, and accelerate the development of strategic emerging industries and future industries to achieve persistent strengthening of enterprise development momentum. Following the principle of “not wavering in the important position of state-owned enterprises in the country’s development and not wavering in making them bigger, stronger and better”, we should enhance the innovation capacity of enterprises, promote the coordinated development of upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain, effectively solve the problem of corporate account arrears, and work with private enterprises and other enterprises of all forms of ownership to achieve high-quality development.
