Wait-And-See Sentiment Prevailed In Spot Lithium Carbonate Market Amid Volatile Futures Prices

SHANGHAI, Jul 27 (SMM) –  The SMM battery-grade lithium carbonate index was 284,915 yuan/mt yesterday July 26, a decrease of 2,158 yuan/mt from the previous working day. The price range of battery-grade lithium carbonate was 274,000-290,000 yuan/mt, a decrease of 2,000 yuan/mt from the previous working day. The price range of industrial-grade lithium carbonate was 261,000 to 272,000 yuan/mt, a decrease of 2,000 yuan/mt from the previous working day. In terms of futures, lithium carbonate contracts rose all the way at the opening and then fell back. Among them, the LC2404 contract once rose by more than 10%. However, judging from the spot market, except for some traders who are more speculative, most players in the industry chain maintained a cautious wait-and-see attitude. Due to the gradual digestion of downstream inventories, a new round of restocking may be on the way.
