Battery scrap prices hiked, in line with rising lead prices, and secondary crude lead holders still offered high 

SHANGHAI, Jul 24 (SMM) – Battery scrap prices hiked last week, in line with rising lead prices. At present, the mainstream purchase price of e-bike battery scrap in Anhui and Henan was 9,140-9,180 yuan/mt (before tax), or 9,270-9,360 yuan/mt (after tax). Slower battery scrap price hikes were reported in other provinces. Sustained battery scrap supply restraints plagued smelters. Boosted by high raw material prices, secondary crude lead prices were 14,500-14,550 yuan/mt (ex-works) and about 14,550 yuan/mt (delivery to factory). Secondary crude lead holders kept offers firm, while some alloy smelters purchased refined lead nearby as raw materials. Therefore, secondary crude lead market activity appeared moderate.
