Secondary Lead Smelters’ Finished Product Inventory To Build Up In May

SHANGHAI, May 19 (SMM) - Secondary lead smelters held 14,800 mt of finished product inventory in April, a drop of 12,700 mt MoM. This includes 600 mt of secondary crude lead, and 14,200 mt of refined lead and lead alloy.

Secondary lead production is expected to grow in May, while the lead-acid battery market is still in the off-season, threatening to push up smelters’ finished product inventories slightly.
