BHP: OZ Minerals Takeover Deal Has Obtained Australian Court Approval

BHP said Australia's Federal Court had approved its A$9.6 billion ($6.44 billion) takeover of OZ Minerals, the largest deal since BHP's $12.1 billion takeover of Petrohawk Energy in 2011. The court ruling is the last hurdle in BHP's takeover of OZ Minerals after the deal received overwhelming support from the target company's shareholders, with 98.33% voting in favor of the deal on Friday.
