SHANGHAI, Apr 21 (SMM) – The strong orders at the beginning of the year directly drove a continuous increase in operating rates in February and March 2023.
However, according to SMM survey, poor demand for consumer electronics and new energy vehicles in April will no longer support the continuous growth in orders for copper plate/sheet and strip. Orders are expected to decline in April.
The average operating rate is expected to fall 1.8 percentage points from the previous month to 75.2% in April.
