Social Inventory Of Lead Ingots To Hover At A Low Level In April

SHANGHAI, Apr 18 (SMM) – The social inventory of lead ingots across China’s five major markets fell 13,900 mt MoM to 39,700 mt as of March 31, and dropped further to 33,600 mt as of April 10.

In April, some lead smelters will resume production, while others will undertake maintenance. In particular, more deliverable brand primary lead smelters will carry out overhauls, which will reduce shipments to social warehouses. Lead consumption will weaken due to the off-season. On the whole, the social inventory of lead ingots is likely to hover at a low level, with low possibility of sharp declines.
