Pure Nickel Prices Declined and the Spot Transactions were Good

SHANGHAI, Apr 6 (SMM) - On April 6, premiums of Jinchuan nickel were 8,500-8,800 yuan/mt. The average premium stood at 8,650 yuan/mt, up 300 yuan/mt from the previous trading day. Premiums of NORNICKEL nickel stood at 5,900-6,500 yuan/mt. The average premium was 6,200 yuan/mt, an increase of 250 yuan/mt from the previous trading day. SHFE nickel prices continued to decline while the spot premiums of nickel briquette rose only slightly. As such, the spot transactions in the morning was acceptable. Nickel briquette prices were 17,7000-178,100 yuan/mt, a decrease of 2,500 yuan/mt from a day ago. The transactions of nickel briquette were slack as it was still traded at premiums over nickel sulphate.
