China's Construction Machinery Exports Reached a Record High in 2022

According to the data released by the China Construction Machinery Industry Association, sales of major construction machinery in 2022 declined significantly compared to 2021. Among them, the sales volume of excavators was 261,000 units, down 23.8% year-on-year. However, it is worth mentioning that China's competitive edge in the international market continued to improve in 2022, with a substantial increase in exports.

The total exports throughout 2022 hit a new record at $44.302 billion. The net increase in exports was $10.28 billion in 2022 and over $13 billion in 2022, making the total net increase as high as $23.34 billion over the two years.
