According to BNAmericas, the data from INEI showed that the mining production increased 9.34% year-on-year in December 2022, and the total production in 2022 increased 0.35% year-on-year.
The production of iron ore, copper, lead and tin increased 99.4%, 19.2%, 3.2% and 2.3% respectively. However, molybdenum production fell 12.1%, silver 6.4%, gold 4.0% and zinc 2.0%.
Oil and gas production fell 1.03% due to a 4.9% decline in condensate. But crude oil production increased 4.0% natural gas production increased 0.9%.
